Forensics, Doping & Toxicology | Doping Control

Sports doping is the illegal use of certain performance-enhancing drugs and blood products, including anabolic steroids, hormones, stimulants, diuretics, and beta blockers. Ensuring that sport remains fair is important to fans, sponsors and the vast majority of competitors. Chemetrix is proud to help combat these threats to fair competition through our various solutions for doping control.

Occupational Drug Screening | Urine Testing

Urine screening is the most common method used in workplace drug testing. A typical urine drug test screens for 5-10 drugs, such as amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, marijuana, opiates, nicotine, and alcohol, and these tests are highly accurate. A urinalysis will show the presence of a drug in the system, even after the drug effects have worn off.

Occupational Drug Screening | Saliva Testing

Oral fluid (saliva) analysis is increasingly popular as a forensic drug testing matrix because samples can be easily collected, collection is non-invasive, and samples are less susceptible to substitution or adulteration. Saliva drug tests can detect drug usage within a few hours up to 2 days and can be used to test for alcohol, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana (THC), opiates, amphetamines, phencyclidine (PCP), and methamphetamines.

Occupational Drug Screening | Hair Testing

Hair follicles provide a record of drug use over long periods of time – up to 90 days. Hair testing is very challenging – nearly impossible – to cheat, even if an employee briefly stops using. Many drugs of abuse can be successfully detected using hair testing, including benzodiazepines, cocaine, marijuana (THC, cannabinoids), amphetamines, and more. Agilent provides state-of-the-art GC/MS/MS or LC/MS/MS methods to measure a variety of drugs of abuse in hair.

Occupational Drug Screening | Blood & Serum Screening

Maintaining compliance and ensuring that businesses and their employees are fully protected often demands rigorous and ongoing drug testing in a number of sectors, particularly in high-risk jobs, or roles with a public safety focus. In addition, non legally-regulated testing can also impact on insurance costs or other forms of employee protection, and should be approached equally robust methods. Chemetrix provides a range of testing solutions with sample prep to ensure testing efficiency, and feature custom training and reporting templates, and a range of consumables for enhanced, flexible performance.
